| | | Hello Journey Community, Today is Journey's 75th anniversary! Journey extends our heartfelt thanks to our incredible staff, consumers, and community partners who have supported us throughout the years and helped us reach this milestone. Journey makes a significant impact on the communities we serve. In the previous year, we have served over 11,000 consumers at seven different locations, and our Crisis team has received over 43,000 calls. We have helped preserve families, prevent hospitalizations, reduce the stigma around mental illness, and more. To add to our achievements, this year Journey was voted the Best of Madison for mental health facility. We couldn't have come this far without the support of our community. Therefore, we want to take this opportunity to express our sincere appreciation to everyone who has helped us evolve into the agency we are today. With your ongoing support, we are determined to continue serving our community for another 75 years and beyond! Journey is pleased to announce that Dane County’s 2024 budget will include a 7% contractual increase for all Journey programs supported by the Dane County Department of Human Services, as well as, an additional $1.065 million investment in Journey’s Emergency Service Unit. Those funds will be used to increase salaries for Emergency Services staff that work nights, overnights, weekends, and holidays providing crisis services to the Dane County community. The Emergency Services staff work alongside our hospitals, clinics, police, fire, schools, etc. It could not have been accomplished without the support of Joureny staff, Joureny's Board of Directors, community partners, the Dane County Executive, and the Dane County Board of Supervisors. Dane County is experiencing a record demand for crisis service in the post-pandemic era, and we look forward to continuing to partner to improve the community crisis response. | | | | | CARES Team in the News Check out the recent article done on Journeys CARES team here.
