Training Details:
This workshop will focus on key demographic populations and the stigma associated with mental health and seeking services. Some of the populations focused on include the aging population, racial and ethnic minorities, and the LGBTQ+ communities. The workshop will cover key findings and suggestions for reducing stigma in rural Wisconsin.
*Journey Mental Health Center has been approved by NBCC as an Approved Continuing Education Provider, ACEP No. 6760. Programs that do not qualify for NBCC credits are clearly identified. Journey Mental Health Center is solely responsible for all aspects of this program.
Presenters Bio:
Dr. Hutter, PsyD, LMFT
Dr. Hutter is currently providing services in various roles. He is a visiting professor at Iona University in New York; the Gender Services Specialist at Sand Ridge Secure Treatment Center; an adjunct faculty member for North Central University in California; as well as owning his own private practice, where he provides consultation, supervision, and trainings. His clinical work focuses on LGBTQ+ youth and adults, sexual dysfunction, conflictual couples, persons belonging to the immigrant community, and suicide prevention. Dr. Hutter holds one master’s degree in Marriage and Family Therapy, another in Clinical Psychology, and a Doctorate in Clinical Psychology.
