Targeted Audience: BIPOC Community Therapists, BIPOC School Staff Members, BIPOC Interns **This is an Affinity Space for BIPOC**
HEART is a sanctuary space for BIPOC students who have been exposed to racialized trauma and have clinically significant levels of Posttraumatic Stress and depression symptoms. This training will teach the HEART framework, how to lead the 10-week HEART curriculum, how to understand the mental, physical, and psychological impacts of racialized trauma, how to combat the symptoms, and how to remember the inherent resiliency of BIPOC communities.

Olivia Jones, APSW, Journey Mental Health Center’s REST Program Coordinator
Olivia Jones is the Coordinator for Journey Mental Health Center’s REST Program. Olivia received her Master of Social Work degree from the University of Wisconsin-Madison in 2020 and has since worked for the Dane County Department of Human Services as a child protection case worker and in the Sun Prairie Area School District as an elementary school social worker. Olivia joined the REST team in August 2023.
Niquanna Barnett, MS, LMFT, Orion Family Services Clinical Supervisor and Individual and Family Therapist.
Niquanna Barnett is a Licensed Marriage and Family Therapist and Clinical Supervisor at Orion Family Services in Madison, WI. She attended Carroll University, where she earned her bachelor's degree in psychology, and then later went on to attend Capella University, where she earned a Master's degree in Marriage and Family Therapy. Niquanna also completed certificates in Play Therapy and Compulsive Addictions at Capella University. Niquanna has worked for Orion Family Services for 13 years.
*Journey Mental Health Center has been approved by NBCC as an Approved Continuing Education Provider, ACEP No. 6760. Programs that do not qualify for NBCC credits are clearly identified. Journey Mental Health Center is solely responsible for all aspects of this program.
